Ingredients for the preparation of cakes "Way to the path"

For the test:

  1. Premium wheat flour 2 cups
  2. Kefir (any fat content) 1 cup
  3. Chicken eggs 2 pcs.
  4. Salt to taste

For filling:

  1. Potato 6 pcs.
  2. Cheese (or feta cheese, processed cheese) 100-150 gr.
  3. Onion 1 pc.
  4. Greens (onions, dill) to taste
  5. Vegetable oil for frying to taste
  6. Butter to taste

Cooking cakes "Way to the path":

Step 1: Cook the dough.

In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt with a whisk, add kefir - mix and gradually introduce the wheat flour. The amount of flour cannot be said for sure; pour gradually until an elastic dough is obtained. Now we divide it into several pieces (I got 6).

Step 2: Prepare the filling.

Before starting to cook the dough, set to boil mashed potatoes. To do this, peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into arbitrary cubes and send them to cook in a shallow saucepan over medium heat. Do not forget to salt. At this time we take onions, peel and finely chop. We put on a medium heat to heat the pan, after pouring the vegetable oil, and spread the onion to fry until golden brown. Instead of cheese, I bought feta cheese (I like it better) and mashed it with a fork. But if you have cheese, then you need to grate it on a coarse grater. As soon as the potatoes are cooked, drain the water, add a piece of butter and grind with a grinder. Leave to cool in a cold place (but not in the refrigerator). Green onion and my dill and finely chop. In a bowl we combine the cooled mashed potatoes, cheese (feta cheese), onions and greens. We don’t salt the filling, because the feta cheese is already salty, and we salt the potatoes during frying. But, if you try, you have little salt, you can add salt.

Step 3: Cooking the Way-To-Go Cakes.

Roll out the dough (we have 6 slices) and put the finished filling in the middle, pinch the edges and slightly roll out. We put on a medium heat to heat the pan, after pouring the vegetable oil, and begin to fry our cakes on both sides until a golden crust is formed.

Step 4: Serve the "Way to the Way" cakes.

As soon as the cakes are ready, grease them with a piece of butter. Serve them hot! Brew aromatic tea and call the household to the table. Enjoy your meal!

- - The filling for cakes can be any: you can just make them cheese or potato. It all depends on your desire.

- - Start frying the cakes when the pan heats well. Not earlier.
