  • 1

    Gather your ingredients.

  • 2

Cranberries are too tart to just muddle into your drink - you'll need to cook them down with some sugar to make sure they are properly sweetened for your drink. Add enough cranberries to a saucepan to cover the bottom, then add half a cup of water and a quarter cup of sugar (if you like sweet drinks, feel free to add more). Cook and stir the mixture over moderate heat for 5 minute or until all the cranberries have burst. This cranberry mixture will be enough for 5-6 drinks.

  • 3

Once mixture has cooled, add 2-3 spoonfuls of cranberries to your glass.

  • 4

Using a muddler or wooden spoon, press down on the cranberries to release leftover juice and break down any large bits of fruit.

  • 5

Add two ounces of vodka to your cranberry mixture.

  • 6

Fill glass three quarters of the way with seltzer and add a few ice cubes.

  • 7

Stir. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge and two fresh cranberries on a toothpick.

  • 8

    Enjoy.

More About This Recipe

  • Fresh cranberries and vodka are the perfect winter drink! When you’re through making fresh cranberry sauce for the fall and winter holidays, don’t throw out the leftover ingredients – use them to make a bog-to-table vodka cranberry.Once you have the cranberries prepared, mixing this seasonal before-dinner drink is as easy as, well, adding vodka!

A Smashing Cranberry-Vodka Cocktail

If I'm not ordering or serving up bourbon old fashioneds muddled with an orange slice and a few cherries, I'm dreaming of different riffs on them. Hence, this particular cranberry-vodka cocktail is loosely inspired by my one and only favorite cocktail. The star ingredient is homemade cranberry vodka, which is infused with fresh cranberries, vanilla bean, orange peel, and sugar. The whole thing marinates for a week, transforming the vodka into a ruby-hued beverage almost too good to savor. As for the cranberries, those sweet, boozy morsels have a similar flavor and texture to brandied cherries, making them a very suitable cocktail garnish.

The method for this cocktail is simple: muddle up a lemon slice and a few preserved cranberries, and top with ice and the cranberry vodka. If you're looking to be fancy, garnish the drink with 3-5 preserved cranberries threaded through a toothpick and/or an orange twist. But frankly, people will be impressed enough that you took the time to homemake cranberry vodka, so let it shine!

Cranberry Vodka Cocktail

Let’s keep this short and sweet today. I have a fun cocktail for you. It is perfect for your holiday get together, New Years Eve, or just because you have some cranberries lying around. Vodka and Cranberry is a very classic drink, I just added some fizz. I have a thing about fizz. For some reason, I think that cocktails need to have fizz in them! Call me crazy, or call me genius – just make this drink.

Cranberry and vodka is a classic cocktail combination. It is simple, tangy, and just plain delicious. As much as I like the classic combination, I always have to mix things up. So I added a little splash of something fizzy. Because by this point, we all know I like my cocktail with some fizz!! I mean Skinny Mojitos are probably my new favorite.

Cranberry vodka cocktail is just one of those drinks you can throw together on a Friday night or you can serve at a party. The fresh cranberries, when it season, just give it a little something extra for presentation. Definitely not required. Add a slice of lime and you will something pretty enough to serve at your fanciest party!

You can make this cranberry vodka cocktail for just one, or make a whole pitcher of them! If you make a whole picture, leave out the ginger ale until you serve. Just let each person add a splash as they pour one.

Or put out a big punch bowl, and add the ginger ale right as your guests arrive. Less work for you, and the drink stays fizzy. If you are feeling festive, add a little squeeze of lime to the drink for a little twist.

3. Henley Highball

The Henley highball takes you to a fruitier dimension. And it gives you a little more room to play around as well.

  • 2 ounces of vodka
  • 1 ½ ounces of apple cider
  • 1 ounce of simple syrup
  • ½ ounce lemon juice

Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain the cocktail into a highball glass filled with ice. For a bit of a punch, top with 1-3 dashes of angostura bitters.

Great Gatsby

Sometimes you want to keep it simple, so we make this drink with just three ingredients: grapefruit juice, vodka, and Lillet Blanc (a citrusy wine-based aperitif). With such a short ingredient list it's important that each one is high quality—squeeze the grapefruit juice fresh and pull a decent bottle of vodka off the bar.

Cosmopolitan

Pretty in pink, the Cosmopolitan, or Cosmo, is a delightfully sweet, tart, and fruity summer cocktail made more invigorating and intoxicating with its sharp notes of vodka. Depending on your preference, you can adjust this simple vodka cocktail recipe to be fruitier by adding more cranberry juice or stronger with a little more vodka.

  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 50 ml cranberry juice

Instructions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, mix the vodka and the orange liqueur.
  2. Add the lime juice and the cranberry juice.

  5. Strain into a martini glass.
  6. Style with a slice of orange zest, and enjoy to your heart’s content!

Spiked Cranberry Lemonade

For those of you that follow me on social media, you’ve probably seen an Instagram story, or caught a Facebook Live recently, where I’ve been sharing all about the “Fixer Upper” I purchased with my boyfriend Kurt!

We did all of the demo ourselves and then spent the last month sitting around waiting for permits to be approved by the city of San Diego. Magically this week, it happened! The permits were approved and that means the remodel can begin. This definitely called for an impromptu celebration!

I grabbed a bottle of Tropicana Lemonade and made a super simple cocktail. Simple, but so delicious and definitely going in my happy hour regular rotation!

Tropicana Lemonade has no artificial flavors or sweeteners, it’s perfectly refreshing and it’s great served with a splash of cranberry juice and a dash of vodka!

  • 3 oz Tropicana Lemonade
  • 1 oz cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • Ice
  • Rosemary Sprigs – Optional Garnish

Add lemonade, cranberry juice, vodka and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into a glass with ice. Garnish with fresh lemon wedges and rosemary sprigs.

I love the addition of rosemary as a garnish. It adds a hint of rosemary flavor to the cocktail and makes for a beautiful presentation, while still keeping the cocktail super simple!

Tropicana Premium Lemonades and Drinks are perfect for sipping on by themselves or mixing into simple cocktails for impromptu celebrations any time of the year!

EASY VODKA CRANBERRY RASPBERRY COCKTAIL RECIPE

The vodka cranberry is a classic cocktail combination. It is simple, tangy and just plain refreshing. As much as I love the classic combination, I like to mix things up. So I added a few raspberries and a sprig of mint. Definitely not required, but it really looks pretty and makes your drink look fancy, don’t you think?!

Let’s be real here… A vodka cranberry cocktail is just one of those drinks you can throw together in a pinch. I’m all about the quick and easy – but adding a bit of fancy to make others feel extra special. And this drink would totally go well with my cranberry white chocolate chip cookies I shared last month.

If you want to give the kiddos a treat too, replace the vodka with lemon lime soda or ginger ale! Done.
